The PJs are usually transported by HH-60G "Pave Hawk" helicopters. Mission: The 943rd Rescue Group of the Air Force Reserve, known as the Pararescuemen or PJs, are trained to extract injured crew members from behind enemy lines. The PJs at Davis-Monthan are often called upon to rescue civilians from the surrounding mountains and have even performed rescues in the Pacific Ocean.
