View More ImagesJoint Base San Antonio is comprised of Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, and Fort Sam Houston. Lackland AFB is the home to all Air Force Basic Military Training as well as the recently activated 960th Cyberspace Operations Group.

As the first cyberspace group in the Air Force, the 960th CYOG will have administrative control over 10 Reserve cyber organizations spread throughout the country. The 960th CYOG is charged with providing combat-ready forces with specialized expertise in the operation and defense of Air Force and Defense Department global information grids.

The C-5 Galaxy, one of the largest aircraft in the world is flown by the 433rd Airlift Wing at Lackland AFB. Flight instructors use the T-6, T-1 and T-38 for flight instruction at Randolph AFB. Mission: The 433rd AW is the Reserve's only Formal Training Unit (FTU) providing initial and advanced C-5 Flight qualification for the total force - Reserve, Active Duty and National Guard. The 340th Flying Training Group and the Readiness Management Group, Detachment 7 are based at Randolph, and both operate at a variety of locations. The 450 Reserve instructor pilots of the 340th teach at five separate locations.
